ERROR WHILE MOUNTING SAMBA SHARE ON LINUX
While working with samba you may come across this type error, saying
“block device xxxxxx is write-protected”.
This error is mainly because your machine is not having cifspackages installed.
Try installing the “cifs-utils” package either by yum or rpm as shown below and retry
Now if you try again it will mount as follows
