Login Count Status

unsuccessful_login_count cmanton
cmanton unsuccessful_login_count=5
Reset the counter to zero if counter equal
or greater than 5
root@dmspar02[/]chuser unsuccessful_login_count=0 cmanton
or use smitty user command
root@dmspar02[/]smitty user

Change
a User's Password
Change
/ Show Characteristics of a User
Lock
/ Unlock a User's Account
Reset User's Failed Login Count
Remove
a User
List
All Users
Select
“Reset User’s Failed Login Count”
Reset User's Failed Login Count
Type or
select values in entry fields.
Press
Enter AFTER making all desired changes.

status

Reset the account locked
status to false if true

Enter the new
password again:
If user wants a
specific password to be set, you have to remove the ADMCHG
flag in the /etc/security/passwd
file for that user, so user will not be prompted to
change to new
password when log on.

- Reply an email to the
