File level Restoring using Avamar

Go to Windows(64 bit) OS Folder and

• Download and Install the jre-7u76-windows-x64.exe first

Then

• Download and Install AvamarConsoleMultiple-windows-x86_64-7.1.2.21.exe
• After install >>>> Launch AVAMAR Administrator

Click on “Log On”

Click on Tab “Backup & Restore” and wait for the next screen to populate

browse thru the VC and select Cluster that VM is located in left top pane.

Select the VM in left bottom pan that you want files to be restored.

Select Restore Tab from right Pane

  

Select the Date that you want files to be restored

Note :  you can select only date with Amber as those are the only dates backup was successful.

  

Select OK for Automatic selection of Proxy.

Click on browse for Granular Restore icon(Folder Kind of icon) and select the files or folders

 Right click on selected folder and click Restore Now

 From Populated Window select your option for Original or Different Location

Also make sure you select NONE for Encryption Method

And Click on Browse for destination

 Expand Path

  

Insert your credential which has access to the VM

 Select the Destination folder

 Click on OK, This will initiate restore job.

Click on Close to complete the restore.
